Methodology
42 days, minimum, before a word gets published.
The standard is fixed and public so you can hold me to it. Every review shows its actual test duration at the top.
- 01Days 1–7
Baseline
Weighed, measured, photographed. First impressions recorded before familiarity sets in and stops me noticing the things a new owner would.
- 02Days 8–23
Displacement
It replaces whatever I was using. Not tested alongside — replaced. If I quietly go back to the old thing, that failure is the review.
- 03Days 24–42
Wear
The period where materials start telling the truth. Rub points, loose stitching, coatings, battery behaviour, firmware updates that change what you bought.
- 04Day 42+
Verdict
Written only once there is something to say that a spec sheet could not have told you. If there is not, the review does not run.
Standing rules
- Every review states how the unit was obtained, at the top, before the verdict.
- No brand reads a review before publication.
- No brand has ever had, or will have, approval over a score.
- Loaned units are returned. Seeded units are disclosed and kept, or returned on request.
- If a product is bad, the review says so and the affiliate link stays off.
- Corrections are dated and visible on the review, never silently edited.
